Sue, The headline on this article caught my attention because it’s my plan..RESIST. But the list you made of all the resources is invaluable! I knew many of these but this is so helpful because we must form this communication NOW. Before President Musk & the felon take office. (I’m repeating what Adam Kinzinger said about presdent Musk! 🤣) This will drive the felon nuts.

I will be circulating this widely. Thank you thank you!

I would add: Dire Talks, Tin Foil Times and Stephen Spoonamore all on Substack. (I heard about Spoonamore on the Thom Hartmann show, one of the handful talking about the election being rigged with an algorithmic manipulation).

Here are the “receipts:”

We know Trump cheated in the last two elections. He cheats on his taxes, he cheats to get loans, he cheats at golf, he cheated on all 3 wives, this is a man you want to check.

Remember, Musk met with Putin several times; Putin, the master of election rigging.

Great list! I would add: Meidas Touch Network, The Opinionated Orge (Substack), ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center.

Thank you so much for the compilation of invaluable info. I look forward to seeing more of your writing. In the meantime I will share this in my groups of other resistors.

Great compilation — these links should be on a site easily accessible, please. Others to consider for inclusion:

Zeteo - Mehdi Hassan’s media/news company (which brought me to Substack!)

Brian Tyler Cohen - YouTube news

David Pakman Show - YouTube news

The Professional Left - news and media podcast with longtime blogger Driftglass (great blog!) and blogger Blue Gal Fran (also with Crooks and Liars), husband and wife team

The Damage Report - John Iadarola (connected to TYT but stands alone on YouTube)

Occupy Democracy - YouTube news

Democracy Docket - lawyer Marc Elias (mentioned by J Sena above) website and also on YouTube

Justice Matters with lawyer Glenn Kirschner on YouTube

Tell Me Everything with John Fugelsang on SiriusXM

BlueRootsRadio for sustaining music and progressive commentary

Laura Flanders and Friends - news and public affairs on YouTube (former Air America Radio host)

Majority Report with Sam Seder (former Air America host)

Nicole Sandler Show - formerly with Air America

(And I DO think Rachel Maddow [formerly Air America Radio] and Lawrence O’Donnell belong here.)

Thanks, Sue! You remind me to return to some sites I haven’t visited in a while.

You should also make a list of specific government officials who are on the side of broadening, democracy, enhancing and building up our institutions, especially rule of law.

Not all politicians are on our side in those matters. The ones who are include:

Alexandria, Ocasio, Cortez,

Senator Sheldon Whitehouse,

Jamie Raskin,

Jasmine Crockett,

Your Podcast list is waay too short. I would add:

-Background Briefing with Ian Masters

-Open Source with Christopher Lydon

-Talking Feds

-Deep State Radio with David Rothkopf

-The New Abnormal

-Fast Politics with Molly Jong-Fast

I would not waste time with O’Donnell or Rachel Maddow. If you’re in the resistance, they are merely echoing your own sentiments back at you.

On the contrary to be a part of the resistance you have to be educated. They are EXCELLENT educators. Have you seen Maddow’s “Public Service Announcements?” You can use it while calling/emailing Senators & Representatives NOT to vote for the cabinet members.

yes, her public service announcements are great - I agree with you there. There are many people who never call their representatives.

So many people do not understand how politics affect their lives personally, which is why I recommended those other podcasts

There is no better timely teacher on the Internet than Heather Cox Richardson.

I’m just saying - For people who have been watching Rachel Maddow for years it is probably time to graduate to the next level.

Yes, Maddow is a very important educator - very basic - for people who do not know much about politics or American History which is most of the population. She does Politics 101.

But for those of us who have been aware and politically active for decades she is far too basic and just echoes sentiments which we already share.

She often (not always) breezes over details which she knows her audience won’t care too much about.

Have been visiting many of these sites.

Have learned of actual resistance movements to the Putin-puppets in various stages of attempted, fascist coups in South Korea, Moldova, Georgia, Poland, Romania, Ukraine.

Have not heard of an American resistance to the fascist takeover of our government by the orange Putin-puppet’s criminal mob on the Jan 20 “peaceful transfer of power” to oligarch-financed dictatorship.

Have heard a lot of “hashtag activism”, and seen lots of liking and sharing posts that recommend we get together to resist (and of course, donate $$$ to “reach” more)

Where is this “resistance” to join?

I hope that changes soon. Who do you think would be best at organising resistance?

Independent journalist Heidi Siegmund Cuda (included on the post’s lists) has been interviewing dozens of historians & resistors who offer much to consider in response to your question, Sue.

Here’s a recent summary of bullet points garnered from Drs Marci Shore & Nancy MacLean

https://open.substack.com/pub/heidicuda/p/augenblick-were-tough-too?r=d62km&utm_medium=ios

There are moments that Dr Shore calls “augenblick” when an unplanned, unpremeditated spark ignites a mass … the self-immolations that sparked the anti-Vietnam war protests & Arab Spring… the police brutalities precipitating the Ukrainian Maidan revolts … our Boston Massacre in 1774 .. the storming of the Bastille
