That's one form of resistance that is best done alone, or in a small cell.
And if you have never said anything against Trump or have been associated with others who have, you may prefer to protect yourself and your family by keeping your head down, but I doubt if that applies to anyone who reads this.
Otherwise, you have a lot to gain from joining with fellow resisters:
for mutual support in times of stress
to resist in ways that cannot be done alone (e.g. the women's march)
to brainstorm or learn the best ways to resist
to form teams with complementary skills
to be better informed
I'll be writing about some of the ways to resist in another article, but meanwhile here's a list of organisations you might want to join or follow.
It's a list of sites that I have heard recommended on the Thom Hartmann show - by Thom, by guests or by callers. Please note - this is not a list of sites recommended by Thom (though many have been) or by me (as I am not in the US I don't know many of them myself), but are ones I think you may want to look into. Some sites could have gone into more than one category. Some of them you can directly participate in, others may tell you what's going on.
Also read your local newspaper and listen to your local radio to hear about what's going on in your neighbourhood. Read and write letters to the editor, call in to shows.
Please let me know in comments of any sites you think I have missed, and any which do not belong here.

Sue, The headline on this article caught my attention because it’s my plan..RESIST. But the list you made of all the resources is invaluable! I knew many of these but this is so helpful because we must form this communication NOW. Before President Musk & the felon take office. (I’m repeating what Adam Kinzinger said about presdent Musk! 🤣) This will drive the felon nuts.
I will be circulating this widely. Thank you thank you!
Great list! I would add: Meidas Touch Network, The Opinionated Orge (Substack), ACLU, Southern Poverty Law Center.
