I'm a huge fan of Louise Hartman's political songs, but I have not checked out her latest ones in a few days. I wish I could get them on cd's.
I'm not sure I'd want to hear this one. It would sound like one long whine.
I feel a bit blasphemous for doing this. But when the song popped up on YouTube yesterday I couldn't help but think of Trump all on his own. He's pissed off all America's allies. He should have known NATO is not there to bail members out of wars they started (Bush jr. did at least ask first).
America's like someone who knowingly invited in a controlling partner who drives all their friends and family away. It'll have to get rid of him and all the influence before its old friends will start to embrace it again. They might help with that if there was a way, but not with waging war.
Or like an addict. It'd have to want to give up the addiction before anyone could help.
I wonder if America can ever regain the trust of our former allies after what felon tRump and his fascist regime has done to alienate them with their insults. Our system of government is so broken down, it will take decades to restore its functioning again. We are going to need some super talented diplomats and ambassadors to help bring back the respect we once had.
Thanks for the download link for Louise's songs. She is an unsung genius when it comes to writing songs (other areas too I suspect), even more so than the celebrated Springsteen.
